So this is the week that all the Christmas Spirit Swap ladies should be getting their surprises all wrapped, labelled and posted - some of you are way ahead of the rest of us (mmm..... am I including myself in the latter group???), but the buzz around my email in-box tells me that there are dozens of very excited ladies - who says receiving is the best bit, I swear we're all tickled to bits about the giving.
Some of us are also participating in a very special sneaky project, possibly the one lady out there in blogland who is in for a HUGE surprise will fill us all in during the New Year ... but sshhhhhhh, it's still a secret.
I know I tell you all that I think you're pretty special, and heaps of you gave me a shoulder to sniffle on when I needed a Christmas Spirit boost - so I've once again decided to extend the most fun bit about Christmas, and give back to you all.
For ALL the ladies who are participating in the Christmas Spirit Swap, there will be an extra something special in your letterboxes from me ... your many emails, with the most loving and caring thoughts have been so wonderful, it's just my small way of giving back - and it makes me happy to do it!
And to all the other great women out there who have dropped by throughout the year, whether to leave a comment, send a newsy email, or kept quiet and enjoyed the read of my weird adventures (I know you're out there ... you can't hide from me!!) - well I have another gift, of sorts.
Starting tomorrow, the Christmas graphic you can see to the right of this screen (Santa and his chief elf doing a great balancing act) will highlight that 12 TIPS FOR CHRISTMAS will begin.
The wonderful Darlene has set this up for me ... so don't forget if you are after some fun gifts (especially her GORGEOUS candle melts) drop by her website, there are still 24 days till Christmas ..... oh cripes, who said that???
For 12 days before Christmas (randomly selected by moi), I will post a project/tip that is all based around this festive season - ideas, quick gifts, decorating suggestions ... I've got so many there will probably be more than one at each post. So drop by and see what I'm "giving" away as a free project - it was suggested that I turn some of these into patterns and sell them, but I think this is more fun.
To make it interesting, and in keeping with our Christmas Spirit boost - if you have a blog and choose to copy this Christmas Santa/Elf graphic and post on your blog, I will send you an e-pattern (downloadable pattern via email) as my extra Christmas present to you - just be sure to email/comment that you've done it, so I know.
And for everyone else (or all of you, I'm not excluding ANYBODY), I've done a bit of a clean out in my fabric stash (actually a rather LARGE clear out) - all the names of those who leave a comment/s before Christmas Day (after all the 12 TIPS FOR CHRISTMAS have been posted) well you will go into a large hat, and I will pull out 2 names, these will be on my blog on Christmas Day - 2 days later (when the post office re-opens) I will send these 2 winners their bonus Christmas gifts ... you can "enter" as many times as you like, however if I draw out the same name twice, I will put one back and re-draw, I think that's fair, don't you.
So this is my Christmas present to you all - I think everyone deserves to get something extra this silly season, and it just keeps spreading that wonderful Christmas Spirit ..... I love blogland, so until our first day of "Tips", stay safe, Janet xxx

Hi Janet,
oh, what a cute surprise...I'm a little behind reading due to some swap deadlines I had to meet...but I love, love what you want to do for us.
Initially I also wanted to participate your Christmas swap but there wasn't any time left to squeeze this in *Sigh*...well, I'll just see what all the other great ladies have done and enjoy some eye candy.
I've put your Santa & Elf on my sidebar and post about it as soon I manage to write a new post...
Cheers, Julia

I love the ideas you've shared so far and will keep coming back for more. I will have to see if I can make Santa sew-saw on my blog, but need to get some sleep first.

Hi Janet, just popping in to say that your Santa and elf are seasawing on my blog :o)
Also I like your first tip - one year hubby and I went into a big department store and got a basket each, then we went around and filled our baskets with things we would like - we then met up and swapped baskets and picked a few things from the basket to buy - this way we got what we wanted, but it was still a surprise because we weren't sure which things out of the basket each other had chosen.

Janet, This is wonderful. I have added the code to my blog and you are now listed on my side bar right underneath my little Spirit of Christmas Graphic. You may recognise this little piece of craftiness, I recieved it from you when I was in your original Chatterbox Club and it hangs on the door of my display cabinet all year round.
