I'm sorry that I've been a bit slack in introducing you to our latest member of The Kit In The Card Collection .... her name is Bindi The Owl and she's very cute (if we do say so ourselves).
Inside the greeting card you'll find the kit that will get you started making this gorgeous image that is featured on the front of the card. On white linen we have screenprinted the outline, there are detailed instructions for colouring her in with either Derwent pencils or traditional kids crayons (and how we colour matched to the glorious Tilda fabrics that surround her). Then you simply finish off with an outline stitch in the supplied black DMC threads (and yes, even the needle is inside the kit). A great card for a friend, along with a gift inside .... or just for yourself, then keep the card to give to someone in the future.
If you would like a Bindi "Kit In A Card", ask your favourite retailer.
There is a lot going on here at Wildcraft Farm, on the farm front with the foliage, we are now over our two peak selling times (Valentines and Mother's Day), so Farmer Rowe has been busy cutting firewood from fallen trees throughout the property ... we've been here nearly 16 years and have never had to buy in wood, naturally fallen trees have been our only source of heat all this time.
The horses are in fine form, Bubs and Delta have so much personality, they know exactly what time of day it is (for instance, dinner time) and as soon as Farmer Rowe steps out on the new deck with a coffee and calls out to them, they race each other to the fence and neigh away about their day.
This is Jessica and Bubs enjoying a riding lesson together.
And speaking of Jessica, for those of you who have been following the goings on of Wildcraft Farm over the past 13 years .... she will shortly turn 15, and is now in Year 9!!! My baby girl is all grown up, and we're the same height.
Actually I'm thinking that in the past I've had a giveaway with a new design, and I'm never one to break with tradition .... I'll offer 3 Bindi The Owl "Kit In A Cards", I'll get Jessica to randomly pick the names out of a hat, just leave a comment below, maybe telling me what colours you love to stitch or quilt with at the moment - we'll draw the names out next Wednesday.
Have a lovely weekend from all of us (2 legged and 4 legged) at Wildcraft Farm,
Love Janet xxx
(PS - my favourite colours right now? Well I'm playing with the Tilda fabrics in some designs I'm creating for Christmas, I love to use non-traditional Christmas fabrics).
How lovely is Bindi Owl, and I love Tilda fabrics as well.I am stitching with Cottage Garden Thread, Hugs and Kisses, doing some redwork. Thanks for a chance to win the pattern for this cute little guy.

My favorite colour is red so I use a lot of the DMC red shades - especially No 221.

I am making a medallion quilt at the moment along with a group of ladies. We are choosing our own colours, but all have the same central medallion, I love pinks and greens but there is also blue and a pale mustard colours as well. Thanks for the chance to win this lovely stitchery. I have been collecting all types of owls for over 30 years. :)

I'm currently sewing with DMC variegated pink red. I love the way they change gradually.
